Faculty Enrichment Programmes

At the beginning of the academic year, orientation workshops are held on the school premises to motivate the staff, prevent stagnation and help staff members grow as teachers and individuals.

This initial effort is further reinforced by follow-up workshops held during the year. Keeping in mind that education is not static, one has to keep up with modern innovative techniques. Teachers, therefore attend seminars conducted in their particular fields on a regular basis.  Some of the recent workshops that the teachers have been attending are :

  1. Wipro workshop (in the school premises ) on
    • Total Quality Management in Education
    • ‘Applying thoughts in Schools’
    • ‘Brain - based Understanding’
    • ‘Personal Development’
    • ‘Reflection on Teaching
    ,

  2. Workshop on ‘Internal Assessment for ICSE Evaluation’ and ‘Teaching the Child to explore his Environment’ held at Arya Vidya Mandir and conducted by Mrs. Rita Wilson, Deputy Secretary, Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.

  3. One -day seminar on ‘Attention Deficit Disorders and Learning Disabilities’ held
    at P.D.Hinduja National Hospital Auditorium

  5. Seminar entitled ‘Innovative Teaching Methodologies’ held at Y.M.C.A International House, Mumbai Central, conducted by ‘Sir Shapurji Billimoria Foundation.

  6. Workshop on the topic ‘Understanding Weather’ , organized by Bombay Association for Science Education

In order to further revitalize their minds the teachers have formed a ‘Book Lovers’ Forum’ under the patronage of the Chairperson of the  School,  Smt. Kallolini Hazarat.  Every month a cozy tete-a- tete is held over a cup of tea, where the teachers enjoy a discussion of the books they have read and been impacted by.
