The foundation of Gujarat Research Society, a pioneer multi-disciplinary research institute, was laid by illustrious scholars in various fields. Since its very inception in 1936, the Gujarat Research Society has dedicated itself to the noble cause of Human Development, Community Services and Research.

Gujarat Research Society however achieved an all India status with new dimensions under the dynamic and visionary leadership of its late President, Dr.Madhuri Shah. She was an eminent, pragmatic educationist, an academician par excellence and an administrator with rare intelligence and humanistic outlook.
The objective of the Society has been to promote, organize and coordinate Research in all branches of knowledge. Constant efforts however have been made to create new programmes to cater to the rapidly changing needs of the community. Gujarat Research Society is a premier registered charitable trust and a pioneer multidisciplinary Research Institute. |

To fulfil its objectives, the society provides services needed for the development of human potential in all its facets, irrespective of sex, caste, creed or religion. The headquarters of the Society is based in Mumbai, with branches in Ahmedabad and Delhi. |
Today Dr. Madhuri Shah Campus of Gujarat Research Society is a bee-hive of multifarious programmes and activities. The Society is governed by the Trustees and the Council of Management.
